Tools

Free YouTube Tools

Small, single-purpose tools for working with YouTube videos: link to an exact second, grab a thumbnail, clean up a pasted transcript, or see how long a video really takes. They run in your browser, need no account, and send nothing to us.

What runs where

The four small tools above do all their work in your browser. A link you paste into the timestamp generator, or a transcript you paste into the cleaner, never leaves the page. The thumbnail tool loads images straight from YouTube's own image server, the same way the YouTube site does.

The summarizer is the one exception, because it needs the video's transcript and a language model. It sends the video link to our server, which fetches the captions and writes the summary. It never receives anything you type into the tools on this page.

Guides for specific outputs

If you already know what you want from a video, these pages show how to get it from a summary and where each format helps:

Need the whole video, not a tool?

Paste the link into the summarizer and read the argument in a couple of minutes.
