Cookie policy

We use Google Analytics to learn which pages actually help people, and it is the only thing on this site that sets cookies. You can accept or decline it, and change your mind at any time. We set no advertising cookies. Here's the complete list of what is stored on your device.
1. What's stored right now
Browsing the site without an account uses three local storage entries, plus Google Analytics cookies if analytics is allowed. Local storage stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

2. Google Analytics and your choice
Analytics tells us which pages people read and how they found them. It is configured with advertising features off, so nothing is used for ads or shared for ad personalisation. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.
If you visit from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off
until you press Accept. Elsewhere they are on unless you press Decline. While
cookies are off, Google may still receive a basic, cookieless signal that a
page was viewed, which cannot recognise you on a later visit. To change your
choice, use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. Declining removes the
_ga cookies.
3. If you sign in
Accounts require one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in between page loads. It contains a session identifier, not your personal details, and is set only after you sign in. It expires when the session ends or when you sign out. Under the ePrivacy rules this is a strictly necessary cookie and doesn't require consent.
4. If you pay
Our payment processor sets its own cookies on its checkout pages, used for fraud prevention and completing the transaction. Those are governed by that provider's cookie policy, which you'll see at checkout.
5. What we don't use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No analytics data used for advertising or shared for ad personalisation.
- No social media embeds that phone home while you read.
Fonts are served from our own domain, so reading the site makes no request to a font provider.
6. How to clear it
The "Clear" button next to your recent summaries removes
ys-recent immediately. To remove everything, clear site data for
this domain in your browser settings — in most browsers, via the padlock icon
in the address bar. Doing so resets your theme preference and analytics choice,
and erases local history, which we cannot recover because we never had it.
7. Changes
If we add anything else that stores data on your device, this page and the table above will be updated first.
